Abstract

Research related to developing environmental love for children in the form of Islamic stories in Indonesia is still rarely done. This research is important so that students understand the preservation of the environment and love for the environment. In this context, there are not many Islamic children's story books in Indonesia. Moreover, if it is related to the issue of strengthening character education and also the environment. In this regard, the research " Implementasi Buku Cerita Anak Islami Berbasis Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) untuk Menunjang Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter serta Menumbuhkembangkan Kecintaan Lingkungan " is very important in order (1 ) introduction of Islamic children's storybooks, (2) introduction of traditional ecological knowledge; and (3) strengthening character education and developing love for the environment. This study uses a quasi-experimental research design, namely researchers using existing groups. The data from this study is the value of reading comprehension based on Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK). Scores were obtained from the initial tests and final tests in the A1-16 and A3-16 classes of the Surabaya Pharmacy Academy. Class A3-16 as the experimental group and class A1-16 as the control group. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that Islamic children's storybooks based on Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) had a significant influence on strengthening environmental love characters for the A3-16 class at the 0.05 significance level. Based on the summary of the data, it is known that the results of the covariance analysis of the test data for the difference in the initial grade scores of A3-16 and A1-16 classes obtained a significance level (Sig) of 0.029. Furthermore, the influence of the differences between the two groups towards the final test. From the results of processing obtained a significance level (Sig) of 0.035. The results of the analysis show that Sig <0.05. The effect of the initial test on the final test has a significance level (Sig) of 0.015. The results of the analysis show that Sig <0.05. 10/11.
